I'm a guacamole lover to the core! But when I get it, its generally devoured within hours since I know it will be no good the next day even if I package it back up....container it.....and refrigerate it. (Sad, I know)
And then, the other day I was gifted some homemade Guac.
Mmm Mmm Good:
Yes, people...those are the pitts to the Avacados. Apparently they keep the avacados from turning brown and going bad.
Even though it may not taste so bad, brown Guacamole is just WRONG!!
So, next time you're making Guac...remember to:

Concert!
I'm sure by now everyone's ranted and raved about the concert in P-Town this last saturday...and how great Nickelback was. Well....They were great! BUT I'm gonna rant about my favorite band, Shinedown!
An old friend sold me on Shinedown when they played Simple Man. On a whim I purchased their album Leave a Whisper and was hooked!!! During pregnancy and having a baby till she was about a year I fell out of sync with Rock as a whole then I heard Shinedown's most recent release, The Sound of Madness. My passion had returned and I HAD to see them live! After many failed attempts, to attend a concert, I was suprised with a VERRRRRY early birthday present from my Em and Adam with tickets to see them. Since January I've been excited about thise concert and even though they weren't the headlining band I very much enjoyed the show. Thank you guys!!! :)

Intermission...I hitched a ride with a good friend, Damion and his brother, Sean. We had a BALL!
........And then there was Nickelback. Definately a great show! Lights, large screens, fireworks, ginormous flames and a sweeeeeet drum solo! Although I'm not a huge fan of Nickelback I'd say they sure know how to put on a show and make you sing, dance and rock out.
They said the drum solo was only 4minutes, but by the time he was done there were buckets of sweat rolling down his body....thats some workout! ;)

White pants?!
Clothes shopping: Not my forte'!! I have a lot of dressy type clothes for my office job but I've stocked up on clothes for over 3 years and now I can fit back into most of my pre-baby clothes my closet's full. Full in that, 'Ugh, I've worn these a million times, I just want something exciting, fresh!'...but I'm getting off topic. So, I go in with 1 item on the list, blue jeans. I've tried on every pair in the store (or so it seemed) and nothing was working but I wasnt leaving empty handed. Typical the only pair of pants I find that fit the way I like are WHITE!! The store attendant seemed to think she approved but do I have the courage to wear them?
On to other news...Potty training update: We've hit a rough spot since I've returned to work but with the gracious patience of my sister...my daughter is in fabulous hands to continue this trek. I have faith! :)
For those of you that know me well, I've always had my hair a certain way...Long. I felt the urge for a change and along with a cut (chop) I got some color. You should also know I dont color my hair often and when I do its NEVER blonde or blonde highlights. I tend to play the safe game. Until now....
Look close and you'll see highlights of purple. NO, its not the reflection or camera glare off the flowers...its really my hair and I LOVE IT. Thx Andrea :)
Until next time, thanks for tuning in with Bloggers world where each day is never the same as the last!

"Potty, Poo?"
....and another word that should sound more like Toilet, but lets face it....it doesnt!
As a determined single-mom I set out to potty train my daughter by taking an extended weekend and set a good foundation for using "The Big Girl Toilet" We started Friday morning, so here's a recap"
We dive right into panties then mommy gets scared and puts a pull up on...BIG MISTAKE! For a little girl much like her mommy that wants to wear panties a pull up just aint gonna cut it. Nap time I decide I'm either gonna do this right and take good advice or I'm not gonna do this at all. So, NIX the pull ups! Day 1 ended with the realization that when potty is running down my lil girl's leg she runs to the bathroom saying "Potty, poo mommy"
Knowing juice (flavored water) and Soy milk are the coveted beverage around my 2 yr old, I made an attempt on Day 2 to keep her hydrated in hopes she'd start understanding faster what it meant when she felt the urge to 'Go' End of the day we have success. I was in the other room and came running into the bathroom clapping and yelling Good JOB, Yay!!!! To which my 2 year old thought was pretty cool....along with her lolipop reward and chocolate covered strawberries.
Here we are, Day 3 started rocky...but I doled out 6 lolipops today. I have much faith that we're making progress!!! However beginning to wonder how my baby's gonna do when she comes down off this sugar rush :)
In the Beginning...
Welcome
It's only post one and I'm struggling for words so off we go...
I've started this blog not only as something for me, Lord knows us mom's need our 'Me Time', but because I've had such a passion for Photography so long and I've been blessed with the equipment, some schooling and what I'd like to think, the gift. So, in addition to a window into my crazy life I'd like to start by sharing a few of my favorite photos of recent. Then, I'll let you all in on what's been happening in this 2 person family's world! PS: The bird is not symbolic for anything...I like the welcome gate, thats all.
